IT Innovators Club

  • Location:London, United Kingdon
  • Venue:Haymarket Hotel
  • Length:06:30 pm – 09:30 pm

On October 14th the Haymarket Hotel will play host once again to one of the most exciting and elite IT professional groups: The IT Innovators Club.

Whether your business has a formal corporate mobility strategy in place yet or not, the ever-evolving world of technology has already permeated our office walls. Desks are littered with all manner of portable technology – smart phones and tablet computers being the usual suspects. The enterprise mobility revolution has arrived irrespective of whether or not we are ready to embrace it.

At the last CIO Dinner we touched upon mobility and one comment stood out: “BYOD, we’re actively investing to prevent it” which raises the question – why? Especially, when there were other camps that were racing to adopt BYOD or even transition to CYOD. Clearly different perspectives have led to very differing opinions. Such differences of opinion are the catalyst of great debates. And so we turn to this subject at the next CIO Dinner on the 14th of October.

Exclusively designed to give senior IT professionals a chance to network and share ideas in a confidential environment, this event will revolve around a stimulating dinner-discussion about the future of enterprise mobility and the implications of greater mobile access and its impact on software licensing. This is a current hot-topic amongst CIOs, CTOs and IT Directors and will make for a vibrant debate.

The most significant threat in embracing this revolution is undoubtedly the question of security. How can we retain complete corporate security whilst providing a truly mobile service? Are we being compelled to sacrifice confidence in our systems’ defences or the level of IT performance in order to provide a truly great user-experience? Are we effectively auditing our technology and managing licenses down to the user level to reduce costs?

This event offers IT professionals the chance to share experiences and gain practical feedback on what’s working the field, from other industry leaders.

We will be meeting at 6.30pm at the Haymarket Hotel in Central London for pre-dinner networking drinks. At approximately 7.00pm we will begin our discussion and enjoy a decadent five-star, three course dinner.
