As a senior IT leader within a large-scale company I wanted to extend a personal invitation to you to the next IT Innovators Club Dinner taking place at the Haymarket Hotel, London (TUE 21st January). This is the next in our successful series of dinner discussions bringing together CIOs, IT Directors and Infrastructure / Architecture Leaders.

Our previous events this year have been attended by UBS, Astra Zeneca, Cisco, Parabis Group, BNP Paribas, Allen & Overy, PayPoint, Trowers and Hamlins, Cullum Capital Ventures, Redmayne Bentley, Poole Reinsurers, Jefferies International, HSBC, Western Union and many others.

At the centre of the dinner is a round table discussion on whether the traditional IT department can survive the changes being brought about by cloud-based IT service providers. In particular we would like examine the following questions:

1) Can CIOs and IT departments realistically compete in an open market against an array of ‘new model’ service providers offering cloud as the ‘only viable option’ for survival?

2) Does the added burden of funding and maintaining up to a ten year legacy of technology decisions and investments prevent traditional IT departments from the demands for business innovation?

3) How do IT leaders need to adapt to stay relevant in a serviced based company? Will we see the evolution of a new kind of IT Department that functions as a conduit between the business and a portfolio of specialist technology and service providers?

You can learn more about the dinner, the area of discussion and the IT Innovators Club on our website.

There are a maximum of 16 places available so it is important to respond as soon as possible to secure your place or simply signup on our eventbrite page. Attendance is free for selected guests thanks to the support of our sponsors Logicalis.
